FORECAST: Sunday to be warm, cloudy, possibly damp

After last year’s ABC Kite Fest was rained out on two different weekends, it’s looking like the 1.5-hour delay may have done the trick for this year’s event that begins at 11:30 a.m.

Sunday will bring a 30 percent chance of rain, most likely in the form of scattered showers or drizzle, similar to yesterday, according to the National Weather Service. The patchy fog the area is seeing now will likely fade by 10 a.m, the service said.

The day will be mostly cloudy and warm, with a high near 78 degrees, according to the service.

Sunday night will bring a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, the service reports. That patchy fog will return after midnight. The night will also be mostly cloudy, just like the day, with a low around 66.
