What was the best part of Cedar Park’s 2017-18 basketball season?

The best part of this season for me was having more success in district play than we did last year. Winning has always been the best part of playing basketball.

Tell me about the first time you played organized basketball.

The only thing I can remember about my first game was that I played in a YMCA league, and I could not dribble at all so every time I caught the ball I would get called for traveling.

How much pride do Cedar Park students take in the fact that their school’s sports teams are so competitive?

We have a reputation for being one of the best schools in the area so we take pride in keeping the tradition alive.

What are your college plans?

I will be attending Texas Tech University in the fall. I chose Texas Tech because I really like the campus, and I loved the atmosphere there. I will be majoring in business. I’ve always known that I wanted to do something in the business field.

If you could have dinner with any four people in the history of the world, whom would you invite?

Drake, Lavar Ball, Tom Brady and LeBron James.

Why did you choose Lavar Ball?

Because he told the media his son was going to be a Laker and it actually happened when no one else but him thought it would.

How do you motivate yourself to practice on days you don’t feel like it?

This being my senior year, I just wanted to make the most out of every opportunity I had left to play basketball.

If you had the choice of being valedictorian of your class or all-state in basketball, which would you choose?

Valedictorian because it would open up a lot more opportunities that will benefit me for life after high school.

What’s your favorite meal?

The Big Mac from McDonald’s. McDonald’s is better than any home-cooked meal or any other restaurant.

What do you think you’ll be doing in 10 years?

Hopefully working in a job that I love to go to every day (and one) that allows me to support my family.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I watch Steph Curry highlights before every game. I do it because watching him gives me more confidence in my shot.

Tell me something about yourself that most people don’t know.

I have lived in three different states. Colorado, Wyoming and Texas.

If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go?

I would travel to China because it’s an interesting culture that I would like to learn more about.
