Scott Frost visits Dallas Craddieth, Cameron Jurgens
Scott Frost apparently travels in style.
Frost and defensive coordinator Erik Chinander visited Dallas Craddieth of Florrisant (Mo.) Hazelwood Central at his school on Thursday, with Frost rocking some Kanye West Yeezy sneakers.

“I liked them,” Craddieth said of the new Nebraska coach’s shoe choice. “He’s going to try and get the team some for travel shoes next year.”
Chinander was rocking some snakeskin boots, Craddieth said.
But more pertinent than footwear, the two coaches visited Craddieth, who just received a bump to 4 stars on Rivals, to let him know that the new coaching staff is just as interested in him as the old staff, which made Craddieth a priority at the safety position.
“It was pretty cool. [Frost] is a cool dude and he’s pretty busy being the new coach and all, so it was nice that he made sure he came and saw me,” Craddieth told Land of 10. “We talked about the defense they’re going to run and what their plans are for Nebraska.”
Not only did they discuss Nebraska’s future, but specifically how Craddieth would fit into the defensive scheme. Chinander made sure Craddieth knew how he planned on using him.
“Just talked about the defense and visiting Nebraska and how the middle linebacker and one of the safeties are real important to the defense’s success,” Craddieth said.
Chinander sees Craddieth filling in that “important” safety spot. Craddieth is the No. 29 safety in the class, per the 247Sports composite.
While Craddieth developed a solid relationship with the previous staff, he maintains that Nebraska never left his top group of schools. He was scheduled to visit last weekend, but the coaching change postponed those plans. Craddieth will now take his official visit sometime in January, he said.
He wants to see what Frost and Chinander told him about the school.
“Just how committed they are to me and how they plan on turning things around,” Craddieth said. “And to know Coach Frost plans to be there for a while.”
Frost also conducted an in-home visit Wednesday night with 4-star tight end commit Cameron Jurgens from Beatrice, Neb. The state’s top prospect has been committed to the Huskers for more than two years. He recently took an official visit to LSU, causing some to wonder whether his commitment was solid. However, the fact that Frost’s offense relies on athletic tight ends, it’s likely Jurgens is excited by the prospect of playing for the Huskers.
Finally, the pic of @CameronJurgens and @coach_frost we've been waiting to see. The two seriously could be brothers. Their mothers were also both world-class shot put throwers. pic.twitter.com/KReeEMjtnd

Jacob Copeland talks Nebraska offer, will take official visit
Jacob Copeland liked what he saw from Frost and his staff at UCF, where they recruited him before he committed to Florida. With Copeland de-committing in late November, the staff saw an opportunity to bring the wide receiver to the Midwest and extended a Nebraska offer.
Chinander reached out to Copleand right away.
“He said that Coach Frost wanted to make sure that he reached out to me,” Copeland told Mike Matya of HuskerOnline.com. “He said that I had an offer at Nebraska and they are still going to recruit me like they did at UCF. Coach Frost is a good coach. He changed UCF and there’s a good outlook at Nebraska, so I’m interested in them.”
Copeland, who is from Pensacola, Fla., will be taking an official visit to Nebraska in January, he told Matya. Copeland, the No. 9 receiver and No. 53 overall prospect in the class per the 247Sports composite has not taken an official visit anywhere. Since he de-committed from Florida, plenty of programs have contacted him. Tennessee’s hiring of former Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt caught Copeland’s interest, reports SEC Country’s Blake Morgan.
“I’m going to set up an official to Nebraska, but I don’t have a date yet,” Copeland told Matya.
Shaun Peterson Jr. names Huskers favorite without offer
Even without an offer, 3-star outside linebacker Shaun Peterson Jr. has declared the Huskers his favorite and is in the process of scheduling an official visit to Lincoln.
“Nebraska is my favorite. I’m getting an official up there soon,” Peterson said. “They’re my favorite because of Coach Frost. I know he knows how to win, and I also like the program itself. It’s a big school with a lot of history.
“I spoke with the linebackers coach [on Monday], but we’re keeping in contact.”
It’s unclear if the “linebackers coach” Peterson Jr. is referring to is Jovan Dewitt or Barrett Ruud.
Peterson Jr. has official visits to Tulane and Florida International scheduled. He is 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds and is the No. 91 outside linebacker in the class, according to the 247Sports composite. The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., native is a former South Florida commit. It will be interesting to see whether Peterson’s interest in the Huskers is reciprocated with an offer. If an offer eventually arrives, expect him to sign with Nebraska.
Tate Wildeman locks in official visit, receives rankings bump
Perhaps no Nebraska commit as seen his stock rise during his senior season as much as Tate Wildeman. His strong senior season prompted 247Sports to bump his 3-star rating to a 4-star designation. It was well deserved and the Huskers got a good one when he committed in the spring. However, the Huskers now have to hold off other suitors for the defensive end.
Washington State has made a strong push for the No. 18 defensive end in the class, according to the 247Sports composite. Wildeman took an official visit there on Nov. 17 and officially visited Colorado State last weekend. He’s finally locked in his official visit to Nebraska, which will happen the weekend of Dec. 15. It’s going to be a big weekend on campus, and Wildeman will be a part of it.
