The first member of Scott Drew’s 2019 class is now in place.

On Wednesday evening, Wolfforth (Texas) Sunrise Christian small forward Jordan Turner brought his recruitment to an early close and announced his commitment to the Baylor Bears.

“They have an amazing atmosphere,” Turner told 247Sports Evan Daniels of Baylor.

Turner, a 3-star prospect, sided with Baylor over offers from Florida, SMU, and Texas A&M.

With Turner in the fold, Drew’s 2019 class is now ranked No. 37 nationally and No. 5 in the Big 12.

A 6-foot-6, 180-pound prospect, Turner is ranked as the nation’s No. 245 player, the No. 60 small forward and the No. 6 player in Texas, per the 247Sports composite.
