Austin Spurs win fourth straight

The Austin Spurs won their fourth game in a row as they defeated the Sioux Falls Sky Force 113-94 on Saturday night at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

Six players scored in double figures as the Spurs (29-16) scored at least 100 points in the seventh straight game.

Jaron Blossomgame led Austin with 20 points to go with eight rebounds. He shot 9-of-15 from the floor in 29 minutes.

Another rookie, on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs, Derrick White scored 19 points in 25 minutes.

Darrun Hilliard added 15 points while Nick Johnson was a rebound away from a double-double as he scored 14 points.

The Spurs trailed after the first quarter but entered halftime with a 60-49 lead.

Every member of the Sky Force (24-20) scored, but it wasn’t enough to take the win. Torrey Craig led all scorers with 24 points. Derrick Walton Jr. was the only other member of Sioux Falls to score in double figures with 18 points.

The Spurs shot 50 percent from the field and went 22-of-28 from the free-throw line.

Sioux Falls struggled offensively, connecting on just 39 percent of its shots. They also made just half of their 20 free throws.

Austin remains in first place in the Western conference, more than a game in front of the South Bay Lakers.
