Lady Gaga took some time before her concert in the Bayou City to help a Houstonian in need.
On Sunday, the singer posted photos of herself in a hazmat suit on her social media accounts. Her Born This Way Foundation teamed up with Team Rubicon to tear out water-damaged walls in the home of a woman named Pamela.
Before the #JoanneWorldTourHouston tonight me and @btwfoundation teamed up with @teamrubicon to do some demolition due to water damage and mold remediation in Pamela’s house from Hurricane Harvey. We want to help make #HoustonStrong. And we love Pamela! ❤️ pic.twitter.com/yWhfkrCPn4— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) December 4, 2017
Gaga encouraged her followers to donate to Team Rubicon, a nonprofit powered by military veteran and first responder volunteers for disaster relief.
Today before the show the @btwfoundation and I volunteered for @teamrubicon. They are a team of Veterans and first responders joining forces to provide disaster relief. These people are amazing, and a wonderful place to donate to, I saw (and did) first hand the hard work they do and it’s amazing. Donate to them if you want to give back they are a blessing! 🙏
Three months after Hurricane Harvey destroyed and flooded portions of the Texas Gulf Coast, some residents are still in need of help repairing their homes.
Gaga is currently on tour promoting her album “Joanne.” Austinites can watch her perform at the Frank Erwin Center Tuesday.
