The body of a 30-year-old woman was found in an apartment parking lot in Central Austin early Saturday and the case is being investigated as a homicide, police said.
Police had responded at 7:37 a.m. to a 911 call and found the woman in the 1300 block of East 52nd Street on the property of an apartment complex. Initial reports indicated that she had trauma consistent with being run over.
Senior officer Jeremy Bohannon, a police spokesman, declined to provide any other details about the woman’s injuries until an autopsy is completed.
Police said they do not have any suspects.
“This is still really early in the investigation,” Bohannon said. “There are a lot of things we are trying to sort out.”
