Two finalists picked to be Austin’s next city manager

The Austin City Council has picked the final two candidates to be Austin’s next city manager.

They are Minneapolis City Coordinator Spencer Cronk and Ann Arbor City Administrator Howard Lazarus, who previously served as Austin’s public works director.

Those finalists were recommended by lead consultant Steve Newton, who has led the city’s job search for the headhunter firm Russell Reynolds.
