A traffic shift on Bee Cave Road in West Lake Hills will start Monday, according to city officials.
Starting Monday, June 18, a two-phase traffic shift will take effect.
Phase 1 of the project, which is expected to last two days, weather permitting, includes adding the center-turn lane and paving the inside lanes of Bee Cave Road.
Due to the construction, eastbound lanes on Bee Cave Road will be closed from Redbud Trail to Buckeye Trail. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and shifted to the south. Left-turns are prohibited.
Phase 2 of the project, which is estimated to last another two days, weather permitting, will lay additional pavement for the expansion of Bee Cave Road.
Eastbound traffic will be shifted north, to the newly paved lanes, from Redbud Trail to Buckeye Trail. Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.
Crews will be working daytime and nighttime hours throughout the week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Construction in this section is expected to be completed by June 22.
