UT student sexually assaulted on campus Sunday, police say

A University of Texas student was sexually assaulted early Sunday morning on campus, officials said.

University police are assisting Austin police with the investigation into the incident, which occurred early Sunday at Clark Field in the 300 block of 21st Street, authorities said. According to UT police, the person responsible for the assault was not a student, however no arrests have been made.

Authorities said they don’t think the incident represents a threat to the campus.

UT police in a safety alert sent to students Sunday urged anyone with information to call 512-471-4441 ext. 9.
