Shots fired at Popeyes on Riverside Drive; no injuries reported, police say


Police responded to reports of shots being fired around 5 p.m. Tuesday at a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Southeast Austin on East Riverside Drive just west of South Pleasant Valley Road.

No one was reported injured.

A caller to 911 reported that someone came to the area and fired several shots, police said. Officials did not immediately share whether the shooting happened inside or outside.

As of 7:30 p.m., no suspects were in custody, police said.
