Police identify 71-year-old pedestrian who was hit, killed in Round Rock


Police have identified the 71-year-old pedestrian who was hit and killed in Round Rock Thursday night by someone driving a vehicle.

Richard Osowski was crossing RM 620 near Briarwood Street — just west of Interstate 35 — when he was hit, Round Rock police officials said. Officers responded around 7:30 p.m.

Osowski died at the scene, police said.

The driver stopped after hitting Osowski and cooperated with officers, police said. The driver is not facing any charges.
