Pedestrian killed in crash with semi truck on I-35 in North Austin


A man who was on foot was killed in a crash with a semi truck early Sunday morning on Interstate 35 in North Austin, Austin-Travis County EMS officials said.

Authorities said they responded about 5:30 a.m. to the southbound lanes of I-35 near Barwood Park. EMS officials said the man, who was described as in his 40s, was found dead at the scene.

In a separate accident Saturday night, a woman in her 20s was hit by a car near the 6300 block of South Congress Avenue. EMS officials took her to St. David’s Medical Center with serious injuries.
