Police seek 2 children who walked through Manor baseball field before fire


The Manor Police Department is working with the Fire Marshal’s Office to identify two children seen in security video at a baseball field before that field caught fire, Manor police said.

Firefighters responded around 6:50 p.m. Jan. 22 to the fire at the Manor Youth Baseball Field, just east of Manor Excel High School. The announcer’s box and two nearby electric poles were engulfed, Manor police said. 

The fire is currently being investigated as suspicious until it can be ruled otherwise, police said. 

The video surveillance catches a moment around 6:25 p.m. If anyone can identify the two people in the security video, call Manor police at 512-272-8177 and ask for Detective Handy or email police@cityofmanor.org. You may remain anonymous, police said.
