Man injured Wednesday night after falling into creek bed in Central Austin


A man has serious injuries after falling down an embankment in Central Austin into a dry creek bed, Austin-Travis County EMS officials said Wednesday night.

Multiple units responded at 7:39 p.m. to a rescue on Martin Luther King Jr. and Lamar boulevards, near Pease Park. 

EMS said a man, who is described as in his 20s, had sustained serious injuries to his extremities that are not expected to be life threatening. He has been taken to Dell Seton Medical Center, officials said.
