EMS: Delays on southbound I-35 lower deck after 4-car crash

A four-vehicle crash on the lower deck of southbound Interstate 35 has left three people injured and is causing traffic delays, Austin-Travis County EMS officials said Wednesday afternoon.

Medics responded about 3:05 p.m. to the crash at the lower deck of 3800 block of North I-35, officials said. One of the vehicles rolled over and six people were involved in the crash, they said.

One man in his 30s was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with potentially serious injuries. Two others had injuries that medics described as possibly non-life threatening injuries. The three other people involved declined medical treatment.

Drivers should expect delays and lane closures while medics respond to the call, officials said.
