A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper was injured while on duty in a crash on Texas 195 in Williamson County on Friday afternoon.
According to the Williamson County sheriff’s office, an elderly man was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe the wrong way in the 5600 block of the highway when he slammed into the trooper in a marked patrol vehicle around 12:20 p.m.
The driver of the Tahoe was taken to a hospital after the crash, but his condition was not immediately available. The trooper only received minor injuries, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.
