Finally: They tried to sled down the COTA track, and here’s what happened


The first turn on the Circuit of the Americas track is steep. And covered in snow it’s apparently also very, very tempting.

“We’ve been fantasizing about sledding down Turn 1 for years,” COTA’s official Twitter account tweeted early Friday morning. 

In case you missed it, Central Texas was hit with its first major snowfall in years late Thursday, offering COTA just the chance it’d always hoped for.

Maybe not quite the speeds you’re used to out on the track, but a fair amount of holiday magic, nonetheless!
