Delbert McClinton at Paramount Theatre. At 77, Lubbock-born and Fort Worth-raised McClinton is now a revered elder statesman of what has come to be known as Americana music. His golden years have been some of his most productive: Since the turn of the century, he’s released six studio albumsm that have attracted younger fans who weren’t around for his run with several major labels in the 1970s and ’80s. In December, Texas A&M Press published “One of the Fortunate Few,” writer Diana Finlay Hendricks’ biography of McClinton. (She’ll read the book at BookPeople on Sunday, See The Scoop, right). The 15th Annual Black Composers Concert. The Austin Chamber Music Center observes Black History Month with this concert curated by award-winning pianist Artina McCain, with featured composers including Margaret Bonds, Florence Price and Undine Smith Moore.
