A bilingual children’s book about Selena is blowing up on Amazon


More than 20 years after her death, young children will get the opportunity to learn about the life of Texas’ most famous Tejano singer. 

“The Life of/La Vida de Selena: A Lil’ Libros Bilingual Biography” aims to teach readers about slain Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla Perez. It’s currently ranked atop the best sellers list for Children’s Spanish books.

The book, written by Patty Rodriguez and Ariana Stein, features illustrations by Citlali Reyes. According to the description on Amazon, Rodriguez is behind the “Lil’ Libros” book series featuring other Latino icons like Celia Cruz and Emiliano Zapata. 

The book is listed for $9.99 and is available for pre-order with a release date of March 6, 2018.
