Selena fans crash H-E-B’s website

H-E-B’s website was no match for Selena Quintanilla’s adoring fans.

The San Antonio-based retailer is selling a limited edition reusable bag today honoring the “Queen of Tejano.” In-store sales kicked off at 9 a.m., while the online sale was set to begin at noon.

Within minutes, heb.com was overwhelmed, with many people posting on social media that they were unable to get the page to load.

The pink bags, which sell for $2, are no doubt a hot commodity. Some folks, in fact, were offering to part ways with their bags for as much as $50.

On Twitter, H-E-B said it was working as quickly as possible to get heb.com up and running again.
