A native Texan and a 1999 graduate of The University of Texas, Thomas Jones has spent 16 years as a reporter and editor in Austin. He currently works as a sports reporter and community sports editor for the Austin American-Statesman, overseeing the sports sections for six weekly and semi-weekly newspapers in the greater Austin area.
