Nicole Barrios is a reporter for the Pflugerville Pflag and Round Rock Leader newspapers covering city governments, the Round Rock Independent School District, community issues and the interesting people of Pflugerville and Round Rock. Nicole is also a breaking news reporter on Saturdays for the Austin American-Statesman. A bobcat for life, Nicole earned a degree in journalism from Texas State University. Previously, she interned at the Hays Free Press in Kyle and was the editor of The University Star, the Texas State student newspaper. She joined the Statesman team in June 2015.
