Michael Adams is a bridge desk editor for the Austin American-Statesman. He joined the Statesman in 2008 as the sports editor at the Bastrop Advertiser.  In his time with the Statesman, he has worked as a copy editor and page deisnger and spent a year working for Cox Media Group’s shared services desk in West Palm Beach, Fla., as a sports page designer. For the last three years, he was the sports editor for the Statesman’s community newspapers in Lake Travis and Westlake. In his spare time, he volunteers for Austin Pets Alive! and teaches yoga.
