Ahem, Texas’ colors are burnt orange and white

As an old Longhorn — graduated in 1958 — I do not understand why the University of Texas athletic teams wear black. The women’s teams seem to favor this color. The school colors are white and burnt orange. Please, let’s hold with tradition and wear our school colors!

Please, Tom Herman, find a white or burnt orange shirt to wear. Proudly show our school colors of burnt orange and white.

This team’s offense has been truly offensive

The Longhorn football team continues to be without much of an offense. This has plagued this team for several years. Why can’t they get an offensive line that can block and protect the quarterback?

They will not win ballgames when their defensive team is on the field the majority of the time. They won’t get top-notch players until this team starts winning. They are going to go where they are on winning teams. Need to consult with the scouts about finding better offensive players.

BOBBY JOHNSON, Cookville
