Cedar Park (15-0) vs. Frisco Lone Star (14-1)

Quarterback: Sophomore Mak Sexton has thrown 12 of his 27 touchdown passes over the span of Cedar Park’s five postseason games. Lone Star junior Jason Shelley has thrown for 3,489 yards this season, and he has gained a team-high 1,620 yards rushing. Edge: Lone Star

Other offense: Cedar Park senior Jack Grimm has rushed for 17 touchdowns, and he ranks second among the Timberwolves this season with 37 receptions. One of three Lone Star players with 40 receptions this fall, junior Jaylen Dixon has turned his 73 catches into 1,063 yards and 16 scores. Edge: Cedar Park

Defense: Cedar Park has allowed 14.4 points per game, but the Timberwolves have surrendered only 28 first-half points during the playoffs. Frisco Lone Star’s first three postseason opponents scored a total of 30 points, but the Rangers have given up 83 points over their past two games. Edge: Cedar Park

Special teams: Cedar Park missed on a pair of two-point conversions in its state semifinal, but the Timberwolves are 5 for 9 overall during the 2015 season. Lone Star has failed on both of its two-point attempts this fall. Edge: Cedar Park

Intangibles: Since the start of the 2012 season, Cedar Park has gone 52-8 and made three trips to a state championship game. Lone Star became the first team from the Frisco school district, which dates to 1903, to reach a state championship game. Edge: Cedar Park
