Bengals WR A.J. Green receives fine for fight, Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey does not

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green’s fight with Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey will only cost one of them money.

Both players were ejected in the second quarter in Week 9, but Green was the player who received the fine. He will have to fork over $42,000, per Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith.

Green and Ramsey were in each other’s faces throughout Jaguars vs. Bengals, and it led to a lot of contact after the whistle. It culminated with Green shoving Ramsey lightly after a play, and the young cornerback responded by shoving Green to the turf.

Green popped up off of the ground, and took Ramsey down with headlock, and also threw several punches before the two of them were finally broken up.

After the game, Green said that Ramsey had been initiating all of the contact with him throughout the game. Ramsey responded later in the week.

He said that all of the contact was initiated by Green, but he admitted to talking a great deal of trash all day.
