LOOK: Alabama fan already has custom license plate updated for latest national title

The numbers 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017 won’t fit on one license plate, so this will have to do.

Alabama now has five national titles in the last nine years, and this Crimson Tide fan driving around in his or her Mercedes-Benz wants everyone to know it.

As Cecil Hurt points out, this has to be some kind of record turnaround time for the Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles. It has barely been a month since the Crimson Tide defeated Georgia for the national championship.

Then again, anyone driving a Mercedes-Benz can probably afford to have the plate expidicted. It also won’t get past any Alabama fan that the Crimson Tide have won two of their titles in stadiums sponsored by that car brand.

Although the plate also won’t make statistical sense after the next football season because it will either be five titles in 10 years with a loss or 6 titles in 10 years if the Crimson Tide manage to win another national championship.

Over the nine-year stretch, Nick Saban has only lost 12 total games while winning more than 100. His teams have also survived two playoff systems both with computers and human selection.

Five 2019 prospects trending toward committing with the Longhorns

Texas designed the 2019 recruiting class to move slow. The Longhorns don’t want to win early in the cycle. Tom Herman and his staff want to win by national signing day. The fewer de-commits and drama around the class the better, at least for Herman. Converse Judson defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal is the No. 3-ranked player...

Bracketologists still have Alabama as a solid NCAA Tournament selection

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — It’s like watching a bouncing basketball. The young University of Alabama basketball team is up, and then just as quickly it’s down. Coming off two road losses at tough environments, at Kentucky and Auburn, the Crimson Tide didn’t take too much of a hit in the latest bracketology projections. That&rsquo...
