Round Rock Express rained out for fifth time in five days

The Round Rock Express haven’t played many games over the last five days. Their contest with the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Saturday was postponed due to wet grounds.

It’s the fifth postponement for the Express (55-62) in five days. Round Rock has played just two out of seven scheduled contests in that stretch.

The teams will try to make up the game in a doubleheader scheduled for 3:35 p.m. Sunday. Both games will be seven-inning contests with the second game starting appoximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game.

Nick Martinez (2-0, 3.42) is expected to get the start for Round Rock in the first game with Wilmer Font (9-6, 3.39) scheduled for the mound for the Dodgers (63-54).

Game two will have David Ledbetter (2-2, 4.20) taking on Oklahoma City’s Justin Masterson (9-5, 4.17).

Following the series with Oklahoma City, and another road series with New Orleans, the Express return to Dell Diamond Saturday to begin a four-game series against the Omaha Storm Chasers.
