Andy Sevilla is the editor of the Bastrop Advertiser and Smithville Times. He leads a news team that covers the communities of Bastrop and Smithville as well as the rest of the county. A native of Los Angeles, Andy moved to Texas during his formative years and is a graduate of Texas State University. Andy interned at KXAN in Austin and later served as the senior reporter for the Hays Free Press, covering city and county government, crime and courts, water, transportation and the area’s explosive population boom. Andy enjoys music, culture, food, learning and investigating a good story.
