Zilker Kite Fest postponed until March 12

After a soggy Saturday, the ABC Kite Fest has been postponed until March 12, the festival’s organizers tweeted early this morning.

“Due to weather and park conditions beyond our control, the city of Austin has informed us that the conditions warrant the cancellation of the Kite Festival,” says a statement issued via Twitter.

“While we are disappointed with the postponement, we agree with the city’s decision as we want everyone attending the festival to have the experience they deserve and we want to protect Zilker Park from any potential damage.”
