Two people dead after crash in Hays County


Two people died Monday night in a fatal crash in Hays County, authorities said.

The crash happened around 7:45 p.m. on State Highway 21, just south of Farm to Market Road 2001, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Two people were confirmed dead. Two other people were involved in the crash: a two-year old child who was taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center and an adult who was taken to South Austin Medical Center.

The Department of Public Safety did not have any further information available on the crash. It had not released names of those involved.

State Highway 21 is expected to be closed for several hours. Traffic will be redirected toward Farm to Market Roads 2720, 2001 and 150.
