As we drove along the shore of Lake Michigan, passing through villages with fanciful names like Sister Bay, Egg Harbor, and Fish Creek, I knew that Door County, Wisc., would be a delightful destination with small-town friendliness. But it was the creative dining experiences that I found most intriguing about the region.
Fodor’s recently named Door County one of the 10 Best Small Towns in America. Fodor’s noted that although Door County isn’t technically one town, the county “… is made up of notable small towns, each more charming than the last.”
