TRAFFIC: I-35 closures in Round Rock scheduled for Sunday night


Northbound Interstate 35 at FM 3406 (Old Settlers Boulevard) will be closed Sunday evening from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday morning so construction can be completed, the Texas Department of Transportation said in a press release. Both directions of FM 3406 over I-35 will close beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Construction crews and cranes will be moving large beams for a new southbound to northbound U-turn bridge under construction.

Traffic will be detoured from the highway onto the service road at exit 254 while construction is taking place. Drivers who attempt to cross I-35 at FM 3406 during the closure will be detoured to RM 1431 or US 79, the press release states.
