If you’re one of the millions of people who rely on Google’s Gmail service for electronic mail but have trouble keeping up with all the messages, help may be on the way.
Last week, Google announced a design change to Gmail that will roll out to users in the next few weeks. The biggest difference will be the introduction of tabs that will allow emailers to view their messages automatically sorted into groups such as “Primary” (for most emails), “Social” (for updates from services such as Facebook or Twitter) and “Promotions” (emails from shopping sites, for instance). The goal is to reduce inbox clutter and to group similar types of emails together for easier viewing.
