Gallaga: Coffee shop commuters give advice on picking a good work spot

As more workplaces loosen up about telecommuting, you may decide to do some of your work from home.

But even if you overcome the challenge of finding a good work/home balance and you don’t get distracted by your laundry or the siren song of the DVR, you’ll eventually want to get out and be around people again. The wonder of Wi-Fi and laptops make it possible to work from anywhere, and Austin’s abundance of Internet-providing coffee shops has created a culture of cafe commuters. A surprising number of people spend more than 40 hours a week getting work done as they snack and drink at area bean breweries.
