On the verge of snapping a four-game losing streak to their neighborhood rivals, Westlake was stunned by Grant Foster’s 96-yard touchdown catch in the closing minutes. The play gave Lake Travis an improbable 14-11 victory, and optimism was difficult to spot in the blank stares of the Chaparral players, burdened with a 5-4 record, an embarrassing mark by Westlake standards.
