Hot Dog! Corvair near F1 track sold

Nothing said “Welcome to Elroy” quite like the rusty Corvair perched on the side of FM 812, just west of Circuit of the Americas.

The odd proximity of a dazzling new racetrack that hosted a Formula One race last year to a clunker that consumer protection watchdog Ralph Nader once called unsafe at any speed made Elroy’s always-for-sale Corvair something of a humorous landmark noticed by race fans from around the world.
