The partnership of Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty has lasted longer than a lot of marriages. The two are in their eighth season driving together and they’re in Austin this weekend for Circuit of the Americas’ first race of the 2013 season, the Grand-Am of the Americas.
Gurney, son of racing legend Dan Gurney, and Fogarty race in the Daytona Prototype class of the Rolex Series, the top-of-the line for Grand-Am. Thursday they ran practice laps at the circuit, with Fogarty at the wheel in the morning and Gurney driving the afternoon session.
