After Audi’s No. 2 car took Austin’s first World Endurance Championship race Sunday for a landmark win, driver Allan McNish raised both hands toward the cloudless, blue sky in triumph and then bent down to lovingly pat his e-tron quattro.
“For Audi’s 100th sports car victory, I think it was a fitting race,” McNish said. “The car was faultless. The guys setting it up did really well, considering the lack of practice time.”
