The Texas Stars worked overtime to earn home-ice advantage through the Western Conference portion of the Calder Cup playoffs, yet play their first two games of their opening round series in Milwaukee, effectively ceding that benefit to an opponent that didn’t qualify for the postseason until the final day of the regular season.
Because of travel considerations, Texas plays at Milwaukee on Friday and Saturday in a best-of-five scenario. The Stars will host the final one, two or three games in Cedar Park next week.
