Saturday night’s on-ice battle between the Stars and Bulldogs saw a lot of fisticuffs, but in the end Texas couldn’t fight off Hamilton as the Stars lost 2-1 in the game’s final seconds in front of 5,736 fans at the Cedar Park Center.
The Stars (39-19-5-6 89 points) controlled most of the game, outshooting the Bulldogs (28-35-1-5 62 points) 30-22. However, the real fireworks came in the form of bruising play, with three fights and six five-minute major penalties for fighting.
