In a game when quality chances to score were few and far between and defense and sharp goaltending was the order of the day, it was going to take something special for either Texas or Milwaukee to find the net Wednesday in Game 3 of their Calder Cup playoffs opening round series.
That something special ended up being the determination of Texas rookie center Alex Chiasson, who pulled a bit of a Houdini trick to score the goal that ended almost 48 minutes of scoreless play in the Stars’ 2-0 win, a victory that granted Texas a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series.
