Austin scored in the top of the fourth, when Mariah Garcia walked and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Dariann Resendez. Garcia then scored on Kristal Requejo’s RBI single.
The Dragons knotted the score in the bottom half of the inning, as Meagan Whyte’s double brought home Becky Wilhelm.

Stephanie Wong led off the bottom of the first with a triple and scored on a groundout by Gibson to make it 1-0 Westlake (28-5).
The Raiders (18-12-1) tied it on Brooke Saldana’s home run to left. It was the last time a Cedar Ridge player reached base, as McLeod retired the side in order in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
In the seventh, Westlake’s Lacey Boyd walked before Lauren McLeod blooped a single into shallow right field. Cedar Ridge opted to walk Wong intentionally and bring in the infield, but Gibson’s hit kept the game from going into extra innings.
