Longtime Hutto High School volleyball coach Janiece Nelson, who was recently reassigned to a middle school position, will have a grievance hearing Friday with her superintendent in hopes to be reinstated to the job she has held for 26 years.
Nelson, who has led Hutto into the state playoffs in 25 of her 26 years, has been moved to an athletic coordinator’s position for the school district’s two middle schools. The move was made after she declined to accept a $20,000 pay cut, she told the American-Statesman this week.
