His workout buddies refer to Jake Whitefield as “Tank.”
It’s a nickname that fits Whitefield, a recent McCallum graduate who was the school’s starting center in football and played first for the Knights baseball team. His buddies tagged him with the moniker, Whitefield said, because “I’m very short and wide.”
