Last week, LBJ football coach Keith Willis announced he was leaving for Waco’s University High. Willis was 4-6 in his only season at LBJ, and he becomes only the fourth coach in the past 20 years to spend just a singular season leading an Austin ISD football program.
From 1980-2004, the Jaguars had two head coaches: Jim Davis and David Seaborn. But with Willis headed to Waco, LBJ will have to move onto its third coach in the past three years and its fourth since the start of the 2005 season.
