13-6A: Westwood clinched the district title Friday night by sweeping Stony Point in three sets as Cara Dolbear and Tori Clitheroe each recorded nine kills. The Warriors (10-0 in 13-6A) have two district matches remaining, including one Friday against second-place Round Rock (9-3). Alyssa Diaz and Allison Parker each had nine kills as the Dragons swept Cedar Ridge. … McNeil, Hendrickson and Stony Point share fourth place in the district standings.
14-6A: Bowie swept Manor to improve to 7-0, and the Bulldogs can clinch the district’s No. 1 playoff seed by defeating Anderson (6-1) on Tuesday night. The Trojans received 15 kills from Katarina Fisher to defeat Akins in four sets. … San Marcos swept Del Valle to remain in third place in the district.
25-6A: Westlake, Vandegrift, Lake Travis and Hays have secured the playoff berths from 25-6A, but the teams’ final positioning remains a question with a week to go in the regular season. The Chaparrals (9-0) will face Vandegrift (9-1) on Tuesday before playing Lehman and Hays (5-4) over the next week. … Simon Priebe and Ryan Palmieri combined for 32 kills as Vandegrift swept Vista Ridge. 19-5A: Rouse improved to 14-0 in district play, sweeping Connally 25-12, 25-7, 25-12. The Raiders face visiting Hutto (7-7) on Friday before closing the regular season at Cedar Park (12-1). The Timberwolves swept Georgetown as Vanessa Vozza put down 12 kills and Lindsey Ledyard totaled 31 assists. … East View sits in third place after defeating Hutto behind Corrine Novak’s 11 kills while Cedar Creek holds the fourth-place spot.
25-5A:Andrea Janss slammed 16 kills as McCallum swept Travis to set up a first-place showdown against visiting Crockett on Tuesday. Both teams have posted 10-1 marks in district matches. … Austin High knocked off Ann Richards in four sets to forge a tied for third with the Stars at 7-4 in district play. The Maroons will close their 25-5A schedule against Reagan, LBJ and Lanier while Ann Richards will face Travis, Crockett and McCallum.
26-5A: Dripping Springs won its 13th straight match, improving to 11-0 in district play by sweeping Boerne Champion.
