During his nine-year playing career in the National Football League, Mike Rosenthal called places like Giants Stadium and the Metrodome home. On Thursday night, though, his latest team had a home game at House Park, a cozy stadium with a capacity of about 6,000.
Rosenthal, 36, is in his second year as Austin High’s head football coach. Two of his assistant coaches also have ties to the NFL. Offensive coordinator Scott Dreisbach played in the league for three seasons, and Bernard Riley, the Maroons’ special teams coordinator and defensive line coach, went through training camp with Tampa Bay.
