Texas traded punches with Texas Tech and TCU all day, but the Longhorns finally prevailed Sunday to win the Morris Williams Intercollegiate at the University of Texas Golf Club.
The three teams began the day deadlocked for first, and the lead was up for grabs until the closing holes. Texas held on down the stretch for a final-round 2-over-par 286 and a 54-hole total of 848. Texas Tech finished with a 3-over 287 and was second at 853. The Horned Frogs’ 292 put them third at 854.
